The slightly different Adventist church

In November 2019 a long-cherished idea of an English-speaking Adventist church could be realized in Magdeburg. Her motto: “To be a movement of faith in Magdeburg colored by God’s love to inspire hope among people”.
With a colorful team from Nigeria, Ghana, Burundi, Argentina, Germany and Taiwan we serve students as well as anyone who prefers to attend an English divine service and enjoys a cosmopolitan culture with international friends.
The concept is based on small groups that meet between the weekly services. The members not only serve their own needs, but understand their congregation as a missionary service. For this purpose, they have constructed their own hopeCENTER MATRIX, which offers holistic opportunities to link to people. Building on the values of iCOR and Ellen White's idea of centers of influence, the ADVENTIST INT`L CHURCH Magdeburg would like to unite many innovative initiatives under one roof.
To serve the internationals of Magdeburg, we opened the CAFÉ homezone as an integration café conveying basic language and conversation skills in a free “Conversation German Language School”. Our dream is to extend our ministry with a “Magdeburg School of Life” a psycho-social offer to overcome the challenges, when someone immerged in a new country and culture. An elaborate strategic plan is helping to work out these plans.
